Professor Ute Roessner AM FAA is the acting Director of the National Computational Infrastructure, interim Director of the ANU Defence Institute and Pro Vice-Chancellor, Research Initiatives and Infrastructure at the Australian National University (ANU). Professor Roessner is a widely published academic with a PhD in Plant Biochemistry from the University of Potsdam and the Max-Planck-Institute for Molecular Plant Physiology. She established a metabolomics platform as part of the Australian Centre for Plant Functional Genomics, and involved with the setup of Metabolomics Australia, and led the University of Melbourne node until 2019. Professor Roessner was that Head of School of Biosciences, University of Melbourne (2018 - 2022). She is a Lifetime Honorary Fellow of the International Metabolomics Society; was elected to the Victorian Honour Roll of Women in 2020; and in 2021 was appointed as Member of the Order of Australia. In 2022, Professor Roessner was elected as a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science.
Allan Williams
Allan Williams has been the Deputy Director responsible for Innovative Compute Environments (previously named Associate Director for Services and Technology) at the National Computational Infrastructure since 2013. He is responsible for the delivery of both high-quality and innovative integrated research infrastructure services supporting Australia’s leading researchers.
Dr Ben Evans
Dr Ben Evans is NCI’s Deputy Director for HPC and Data Innovation/Chief Scientist (previously named Associate Director for Research Engagement and Initiatives). He is responsible for driving innovation in future HPC and data-driven science with NCI major collaborators in prioritised strategic activities, including NCI’s partners, research communities, and national and international collaborators.
Dr Jingbo Wang
Dr Jingbo Wang is NCI’s Deputy Director for Business Development and User Engagement. She joined NCI in 2014 with extensive experience in data sciences and user/stakeholder engagement. She is responsible for NCI’s business development agenda, contracts management, building community and retaining relationships with NCI’s strategic plan and priorities.
