NCI is part of an international collaboration between some of the world’s leading high-performance computing (HPC) centres. A global partnership encompassing NCI, Japan’s RIST (Research Organization for Information Science and Technology), the USA’s XSEDE (Extreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment), Europe’s PRACE (Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe) and Singapore’s NSCC (National Supercomputing Centre) promotes information exchange in the area of advanced research computing.

At the 2021 International Super Computing conference, RIST and the High Performance Computing Infrastructure of Japan (HPCI) are showcasing the flagship supercomputing systems in place in Japan, and in particular the world-leading Fugaku supercomputer.
